Cancellation Policy

A deposit equal to one night's stay is required at time of booking, which will guarantee the availability of requested accommodation or site. During the off peak season, should you need to cancel your booking, we will refund your deposit in full if 24 hour notice has been given less a $20 administration fee. During the peak season, long weekends and public holiday periods, full refunds will only be made, (less a $20 administration fee) for cancellations received at least 7 days prior to arrival. No refunds will be made for peak season, long weekend and public holiday bookings if cancelled with less than 7 full days notice. No refunds will be made for no shows or early departures.

Rates may be subject to change without notice. Whilst every effort will be made to meet Guests requested accommodation there are occasions when bookings need to be moved to another site or cabin.

General Conduct:

The park rules have been prepared to ensure that all guests and their visitors enjoy the ambiance of our park and experience an enjoyable and memorable stay. Obeying of the Park Rules and consideration and tolerance of others will help create the atmosphere we aim to achieve. Please report any problems promptly so that they can be rectified.
Parents are asked to take responsibility for the welfare and behaviour of their children.

Right of Entry:

Otways Tourist Park is a private enterprise and its management reserves the right to refuse entry or accommodation to any person without having to state any reason whatsoever.

Noise:

We wish to ensure the enjoyment of the Park by all our guests, therefore loud noise at anytime is discouraged. Patrons are asked to restrict noise after 9:00 p.m. and to cease all noise after 11:00 p.m. Undue noise or other objectionable behaviour, is grounds for eviction from the Park without refund.

Alcohol and Drugs:

Consumption of alcohol by persons under 18 years is strictly prohibited. Proof of age must be provided on request. Any person found to be intoxicated and causing undue noise or displaying objectionable behaviour, will be evicted without refund. Usage of illegal drugs will also result in instant eviction without refund and if warranted, the matter may be referred to the authorities.

Vehicles:

Observe the Park speed limits as displayed (10 km/hr). Roads are shared with pedestrians, bikes and other vehicles so take care

Bikes

Are not to be ridden outside of daylight hours. Helmets must be worn at all times. Parents are to control children at all times. Bikes must not be ridden around the Amenities Building Footpaths. Speed restrictions also apply to bikes.

Pool:

The rules pertaining to the use of the Pool are posted at the pool entrance. Strict adherence to these will ensure the enjoyment of the pool by all users. Loud noise or breaking pool rules will result in temporary eviction from the pool. No glass or alcohol is to be taken into the pool area. Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. Strictly no dogs in pool or gated area.

Playground:

Use playground equipment in the proper manner. Horse play or unsafe acts will not be tolerated. Children under 8 years old using the playground, must be supervised by an adult at all times. Playground must not be used outside daylight hours. Please report any safety concerns pertaining to playground equipment immediately.

The Use and Operation of Communal Facilities:

The Amenities Building is open 24 hours a day. Patrons are asked to keep the facilities clean and tidy and report any misuse or defects to the management immediately. No smoking is allowed in any communal building. Dishes shall only be washed in the designated sinks in either the Camp Kitchen areas or at the front of the Amenities Building. Dishwashing in the Laundry Tub, Baby Bath or Hand Basins is strictly prohibited. A Laundry is provided with washing machines and dryer. Please remove your clothes as soon as your cycle has finished. Clotheslines are provided at the rear of the Amenities Building. Irons are available from the office.

Emergency Procedures:

Emergency procedures are posted in the Amenities Buildings, Laundry, Camp Kitchens and the Notice Board outside the Office. All guests and visitors are asked to make themselves familiar with these procedures.

Reception Hours:

The Office and Store are open from 9.00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY

Pets:

Dogs are allowed in the Park on the condition that they are kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed in Cabins or Common Facilities. Owners are to ensure that dogs do not pose a nuisance to other guests, all droppings are to be picked up, wrapped up and disposed of. Dogs must not be left in the Park unattended.

Rubbish:

All rubbish is to be properly disposed of. Littering and rubbish scattered around camp sites will not be tolerated. Please wrap all rubbish before placing it in the bins provided. Only household rubbish will be disposed of in the Park's disposal facilities. We would appreciate if your site was left in a clean and tidy state upon departure.

Fires:

Fires can only be lit in proper fire place or fire pot with the prior permission of the Park Manager. No fires shall be lit in close proximity to trees, scrubs or building. Fire wood brought in must be free from white ants or other pests or disease. Fires will not be left unattended and are to be extinguished before retirement. Fire bans or restrictions are to be observed.

Grievances:

Any dispute not able to be resolved amicably between guests, are to be referred to management who will try to mediate between the parties. Any dispute with Park staff or employees is to be referred to the Park Manager on duty.

All accounts are to be fully settled on arrival. No refunds can be give for early departures.
